Results of the Seminar:
1. The actor will be imbued with “Oscar Winning Family Secrets” for both off and
on the screen.
2. Their audition process will be far more superior to their competitions giving
them the edge and confidence they need to land any role.
3. They will know a scam when they see one and know how to not screw up their
careers as they build it.
4. They will understand how to brand themselves as a Major Corporation with a
Major Image.
Note for the Actors:
This is not a place to just come and goof around, though it will be very fun. What will
make it fun is that you will gain 6 months of the most intensive training in just 2 days. You
must come equipped, emotionally, mentally and physically. You must ALWAYS be taking
notes and ALWAYS be participating. You will be learning true secrets of the world’s best
and until now they have never been let out of the echelon circle that is known as “Oscar
Winners”.
DAY 1:
I. Introduction:
1. Introduce the program and discuss what’s required of each student.
2. Students will discuss why they want to be an actor and their expectations.
3. General overview of the seminar.
4. History of General Acting – “Acting as you already know it.”
5. History of Elite Acting – “Acting as you will know it.”
II. Character Breakdown:
1. Discuss “Being the Human” not a “Character”.
2. Detailed description of acting in television, film and commercials.
3. How to apply Nathan’s “The 7” – the foundation of the Oscar Winning
Technique.
III. Pre-prepared Dramatic Monologue:
1. The actor will come with a pre-prepared dramatic monologue and perform it for
the group ON CAMERA with a large HD Monitor for the class to view on.
2. Applying “The 7” – they apply a very specific technique to the monologue and
see and feel there performances change with in minutes.
3. Further Film 101’s:
a. They will learn how to hit a mark.
b. They will learn how to sit and stand on film
c. How to eat and drink on film.
d. How to turn on film.
e. How to walk as a leading character on film.
f. How to slap and take a punch on film.
g. How to open and close a door on film.
IV. Auditions from Walk In to Walk Out (& Cold Readings):
1. How to Audition from walk in to walk out. -You will prove you are a seasoned
Film Actor even if it’s your first audition.
2. How to submit headshots, resumes and cover letters.
3. How to sit in the lobby and how to behave.
4. How to converse with the people running the audition.
5. How to sit and stand, how to walk, shake hands and when to NOT shake
hands.
6. How to do a cold reading so that it never looks cold.
7. How to audition for Agents/Managers (it’s completely different)
V. Marketing “You” as a Major Corporation:
1. Learn to become as big of a brand as Coca-Cola and McDonalds.
2. Learn how to walk a red carpet and interview on it.
3. Learn how to deal with paparazzi.
4. Learn how to walk and sit on a talk show like Oprah or Leno.
5. Learn how to avoid media traps, pit fall questions and career breaking
situations.
6. Learn how to walk, eat, sit and shake hands as an “elite”.
(Yes is very different)
VI. Getting your dramatic scene & partner: (end of the first day)
1. Provided with a dramatic scene to memorize and block out.
2. Actors will be given time to go off and start the process before leaving for the
day.
DAY 2:
I. Introduction to the second day:
1. Recapping Day 1 teachings and Q & A (Guest are welcome – 1 hour)
2. Actors and their guest will be given a chance to ask questions based on things
they had learned the previous day.
3. Educating the Actors friends and family. – Building the support team.
II. Dramatic Scene performance:
1. Actors will go off with their partners and warm up their scenes
2. Actors will perform their scenes on camera
3. Notes and new techniques will be given
4. Actor will perform again and apply the new techniques
III. Learning how to memorize for Maximum results:
1. They actors will learn “Secret to Memorizing Correctly” – 4 step technique.
2. How to read between the lines – there is a correct choice.
3. How to develop the “Human” you will become.
4. How to prepare for “On Set” last minute changes given by the director or
circumstances.
IV. Stealing the scene like an Oscar Winner:
1. Secret techniques the greats use to steal a scene from their partner.
2. Actors will get on camera and practice these techniques.
3. How to NOT make an A-Lister look bad while maintaining your great
performance.
4. How to look A-List yourself even if the other actor is B-Grade or lower.
5. How to save yourself from crappy writing.
6. How to save yourself from bad directing.
V. Final overview :
1. Recapping all that was taught.
2. Personal notes for the actor on special techniques or suggested career
moves.
3. Final Q & A.
